At the University of Tuzla, from 5 to 6 December 2024, a workshop entitled Virtual Classroom for the Development of New Virtual Courses within the Erasmus+ BIOSINT Project, entitled “Strengthening Capacities and Digital Competences in Biomedical Education through Internationalization at Home – BIOSINT”, was held. A very important workshop on internationalization of curriculum was held in Shkodra, Albania from 8-11 October 2024. The host of this workshop was the University of Shkodra. All project partners attended the workshop except the University of Mostar and UMFT Timisoara who attended online. The aim of the workshop was to present possible ways of internationalizing the curriculum, and to find models for the key factors that will make up an internationalized curriculum through discussions in small groups. The working groups presented that internationalized student learning outcomes, internationalized content, internationalized teaching and learning activities and internationalized assessment methods represent key aspects of internationalization of the curriculum. From 3-5 April, 2024. Training for faculty, staff and students was held at the University of Mostar Faculty of Medicine as part of the regular activity. Discussions focused on creating security protocols, establishing a student Buddy system, and further developing the Internationalization at home strategy. The emphasis was on the Digital protocols and services for international students and staff. All partners presented their experiences and procedures that they use for the foreign studnets as a part of the internationalization at home. Participants were divided into three teams and each team had a task to discuss and suggest specific procedures on the following topics:
1. Guidelines for incoming students and staff
2. Safety and security policy, and
3. Establishment of Buddy system at WB Universities.

Project partners from the Western Balkans visited Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Timisoara, Romania in the period from October 17-20, 2023. Representatives of medical faculties/universities from Podgorica, Shkodër, Tirana, Kragujevac, Mostar, Tuzla and Foča had the opportunity to get to know the representatives of this respectable Medical University from Romania, to see the effectiveness of their internationalization, to visit facilities, laboratories, departments , doctoral school, as well as to hear interesting lectures by teachers and researchers of this Romanian university. In the period from 21-24. September 2023, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kragujevac held an EU training in Vrdnik (Serbia). This training was attended by a large number of participants who had the opportunity to participate in a very dynamic agenda. A large number of different presentations and workshops were held, and there were particularly interesting experiences about established models of internationalization of higher education throughout Serbia. The workshops featured interactive sessions, brainstorming activities, and a Delphi panel to facilitate discussions. The workshops resulted in the creation of strategies for Implementing Innovation in Biomedical Sciences (IaH) at Western Balkan Higher Education Institutions (WB HEIs).
